Do Not Gloat!

My New Year morning was filled with doubt and fear. I was clinging to a mustard seed of hope and faith as I awoke and started my day. As I was preparing my children’s Bible lessons for this next quarter of school, I came across this Scripture:

“But as for me, I watch in hope for the Lord, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me. Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.” Micah 7:7-8

I don’t know if you have Scriptures that keep popping back up in your life, but this is one that seems to have stayed with me through many of life’s journeys.

Though things do not look like they are going my way, I will not sit back and let the enemy defeat my spirit! I will not give him the pleasure – though I am weak, my God is strong, and even stronger in my weaknesses (2 Cor. 12:9-10)!
